Adult B'nai Mitzvah

Adult B'nai Mitzvah, an adult learning experience, is said to be the most meaningful spiritual experience adults can have. It engages adults in a two-year cycle of Torah (learning), Avodah (reflection on the experience of prayer), and Gemilut Chasadim (involvement in Jewish social action projects).

Adult B'nai Mitzvah students meet weekly to study Hebrew and the meaning of the prayers with our teacher Diane Townsend. Once monthly, they join other adults for a Torah study with Scholars (led by our Rabbis, interns, and guest scholars). Students also attend the Or Ami speaker series. After a two year cycle, students help lead a moving Adult B'nai Mitzvah service.

Tuesday nights, 7:00-8:30 pm. Amount $550/year for two years.
