Come and hear an inspiring talk about Israel and its critical place in the lives of all Jews of all generations. Rabbi Rosove will share ideas from his upcoming book and engage in dialogue with our temple community.

Rabbi John L. Rosove is Rabbi Emeritus of Temple Israel of Hollywood where he served as Senior Rabbi from 1988 to 2019. He served as the national chairperson of the Association of Reform Zionists of America (ARZA) (2016-2018) and is national co-chair of the Rabbinic and Cantorial Cabinet of J Street from 2012-2016 and again from 2019. He received the World Union for Progressive Judaism International Humanitarian Award (2002) and special commendation from the State of Israel Bonds. In 2013 he was honored by J Street at its Fifth Anniversary Celebration in Los Angeles. Rabbi Rosove is the author of “Why Judaism Matters – Letters of a Liberal Rabbi to His Children and the Millennial Generation” published by Jewish Lights Publishers, a division of Turner Publishing (October, 2017) and of “Why Israel [and its Future] Matters – Letters of Liberal Rabbi to his Children and the Millennial Generation” to be published in 2019 by Ben Yehuda Press.
