Friday, November 30, 2018 22 Kislev 5779

3:45 PM - 5:15 PMCongregation Or Ami

Drop teens off for a Triple T retreat, and stay for this session...

Presenter: Jeremy Manne, Founder of Pacific Teen Treatment in Malibu, opening early 2019. https://pacificteentreatment.com/

Jeremy founded Pacific Teen Treatment as a program to address the myriad of contemporary issues facing today's teenagers in a supportive environment that empowers and inspires youth to live physically, mentallyt and emotionally healthy lives.  Having worked in adolescent treatment for the past 7 years the majority of which time he acted as Director of Admissions at a prominent adolescent treatment center, Jeremy has helped hundreds of parents and families find appropriate treatment for their teens and young adults.

Parents will advance their understanding of the ways teens may react to their dynamic, modern lives -- through the lens of a professional who has guided hundreds of teens and their families out of difficult times and onto the path of healing. Topics will range from overt acting out behaviors such as substance use/abuse, gaming addiction and anger to more subtle acting in behaviors such as anxiety, avoidance and social isolation. Enhance your ability to talk about these issues, set appropriate boundaries, and discern between what’s expected and the need for serious intervention.

Shmirat Haguf v’Hanefesh: Caring for the Teen Body, Mind and Soul, is a joint project of Congregation Or Ami and the Caring Community Foundation (caringcf.org). Paying it forward in loving memory of Joan and Richard Katz. The project is part of the L.A.
